  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • Participating in banker-led sessions, detailing their work within the divisions. Training and numerous Q&A sessions were held for nearly all sessions, with senior members providing insights into life at RBCCM. There was also a trading simulation and a sell-side case study, organized and assessed by bankers.

  • Yeah! Great insight into the skills and the mindset necessary to be successful in a banking role, especially the technicalities and the human skills.

  • 3. What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
  • It was much more detailed than I expected. It was daunting and exciting at the same time, with sufficient time after the event to ruminate and finally decide on the role you'd like to pursue come recruitment season.

    Culture

  • 4. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Warm and welcoming culture, with multiple instances of active questioning by bankers to gauge how the sessions have been going. HR also made conscious efforts to ensure that the events themselves ran smoothly, helping all interns to get the best out of the event.
