I definitely learnt a lot at my time with Tech Data. I gained a lot of experience with systems such as SAP and excel. I further developed my skills in customer support and engaging with sales between departments.
I was given a lot of responsibility during my placement which was pleasantly unexpected. I felt like my contributions were recognised and integral to the success of the department.
I received a vast amount of support during my time here. My manager was extremely open and communicate whether it was to do with work or home. Various department managers also helped support me throughout and were also friendly and accommodating.
The company culture was excellent. There was no hostility between individuals or departments, managers were supportive and mental health support was always communicated. I made a lot of friends during my time, albeit mostly working remotely. During brief visits to the office, the atmosphere was great with everyone saying hello and having quick chats while passing by.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. It allowed my to really progress within the role and the responsibility given was the same as individuals working there full time. So much so that I am looking to return after my degree.
Be yourself during the assessment centres, don’t worry too much the day itself as everyone is extremely friendly. Try and give two examples to each question in the in-person interviews.
