    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • The role was essentially performing any tasks necessary to aid colleagues in the team. In practice this included things like data manipulation in Excel, creating presentations in PowerPoint and using other software in the industry, but the specifics depend very much on what project you work on.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • Your Excel skills will improve tenfold without a doubt! In addition communication skills are essential when working in a team like this - especially when you are a beginner, so being able to convey your thoughts and any issues professionally is a key skill that gets developed. Lastly, there is a requirement to deliver a presentation at the end of the internship and speaking in that kind of setting is often a new experience for many.
