Responsible for management and execution of HPI products. Including laptops, workstations etc. Daily tasks include forecasting, supply management, sales, sales assistance and communication with HP.
I have learnt and improved my IT knowledge and skills, using excel for example. My presentation skills have developed massively and my confidence improved. I have developed my communication and phone sales skills also. Building rapport and relationships with customers is another skill I have developed and improved also. Organisation and management of people is a valuable couple of skills I learnt too.
I was given plenty of responsibility to own tasks. My manager allowed me to take control of many aspects of the business. When he wasn’t there also I was essentially in charge of the whole of HPI also.
I received plenty of support during my placement, whenever I had a question or query there would be someone to answer them. The support I had to improve myself as an individual was fantastic also.
It was a young and fun culture. I really enjoyed building friendships ultimately with my manager and the wider sales floor. Everyone was always happy to help and it was a very friendly and enjoyable atmosphere
I had the most amazing time and built friends and relationships that will last forever. I didn’t want the placement to end I had that good of a time. The team I was with definitely played a massive part. One of the best experiences of my life so far
