Overview
The scheme involved various talks from lawyers at the firm, as well as interactive exercises and networking, which all provided insight, exposure and experience into the work done by the firm.
Skills
Definitely - I've developed my networking skills, as well as my commercial awareness, through participating in the scheme.
Business Insight
The Graduate Recruitment team were particularly helpful in making clear to us the available career paths/roles for a budding-commercial lawyer at Allen & Overy, and this was cemented by hearing from many of the lawyers at the firm themselves.
Culture
Really friendly - nobody was scared to ask questions or begin discussions. The environment was both welcoming and accomodating.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight. The firm put in considerable effort to make the A&O First scheme both informative and enjoyable for the participants, and pulled out all the stops!
