  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • Sat within a department at the firm and was given work by a principal. We also had three projects due throughout the duration of the scheme, two of which were assessed. Graduate recruitment also held numerous sessions, such as Practice Overview sessions which were very informative. We also had the opportunity to reach out to people at the firm for virtual coffee chats.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I developed my organisation and time management skills by having to balance different pieces of work to ensure I completed them within the deadline set. My networking skills and confidence also improved by having the opportunity to talk to different people within the firm.

  • 5. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I really enjoyed the vacation scheme and the sessions that were held. It was great to learn more about the firm and what tasks a trainee solicitor could encounter. Graduate recruitment also organised many socials throughout the scheme which were great and helped the vacation scheme students get to know each other due to the online nature of the scheme.
