My day-to-day tasks revolve around picking up stories from our kanban board and completing them within a specified time period. These tasks would vary depending on the quarter as there would be a defined quarterly objective that myself and the team would want to complete.

Yes, i was given the same level of responsibility as every other member in the team. At the start, I worked on smaller projects that were still effective so that I could learn the business in the process, and by the second quarter, I was working on the same projects as the rest of the team while learning to be more independent in these projects.
I received all the support I needed not only from my manager, but from everyone in the team. If i had any issues or if I needed any help in the projects, there was always someone there that would help me.
Oracle has many groups which help you entail your interests during work. There are many projects that you can get involved in outside your line of business which can be beneficial as they expose you to a different side of the business than what you may be used to.
I enjoyed my placement. Everything that i got to learn was beneficial to me while also being able to add value to the team and the business.

I would suggest getting yourself out there. By that I mean, don't feel like once you are in your role that now it is the only thing that you'll do, as time and time again, there will be projects and events that you can participate in, while also having the opportunities doing the things that you enjoy doing.
