The role at Sony is super varied and can be changed to fit what you want to get out of it. You have set weekly and monthly tasks, which is great for keeping you occupied during less busy periods. The majority of work is ad-hawk and discussed between you and your managers. You get treated as one of the team and are given the opportunity to work independently and have your own projects.
Yes! The whole year was a huge learning experience and meant I got to learn all about PR in-house. All of my soft skills developed, including communication, problem-solving and time management.

Within my team there was a lot of support and guidance, but there was very little from the company as a whole.
I was lucky that my team was upbeat and friendly, but the wider company atmosphere was a bit more tense. It felt like the other teams were very stressed and on edge, with a lot of pressure coming from people above them.
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement, despite the restrictions that COVID put on it.
