    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

    • The vacation scheme provided an excellent opportunity to get to know the firm and understand in greater detail what sets it apart from its competitors. The day-to-day work was similar to what a trainee solicitor would do as we were able to get involved in live work alongside our trainee buddies and supervisors.

    • I have developed a greater understanding of the firm and the legal industry. My analytical and interpersonal skills have also greatly improved thanks to the high level of exposure to real, significant legal work which we were afforded.

    Business Insight

  • 3. What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

    • We were given incredibly useful and informative sessions on various aspects of the firm such as its approach to diversity and inclusion and pro bono which I greatly appreciated. These sessions provided a unique insight to the non-legal goals which the firm is working towards.

    Culture

  • 4. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

    • The culture and general atmosphere were much better than I ever could have hoped. I instantly felt at ease in the presence of the firm's employees and really enjoyed interacting with everyone.

  • 5. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • The vacation scheme was thoroughly enjoyable. Getting involved in live work provided an incredible insight into the work which the firm carries out. The networking opportunities were excellent and allowed me to talk to a wide range of people in different roles at the firm. The socials which the graduate recruitment team organised were also really fun and provided an excellent opportunity to get to know others in a less formal setting.
