This role consists of working closely alongside your deal teams, assisting in the production of decks / marketing materials as well as analysing data in excel. Each day can be quite varied in terms of the type of work but one can expect to conduct thorough research into different assets, their key financials and upcoming opportunities.
Certainly the summer internship has further developed analytical skills and enhanced communication. It has also put many technical concepts in practice so one is able to experience many M&A procedures at first hand.
As a result of leaner deal teams, this internship was a great way to gain industry exposure - as such, a lot of responsibility was given to interns. You would often be working closely with seniors, allowing them to gradually give you more tasks as you get accustomed to the way of working.
Everyone was willing to offer their advice and guidance, which made the whole process more comforting and welcoming. The culture is very much focussed on learning as you progress, which is great.
As it is widely echoed, the company is known for its welcoming culture and the internship was certainly a testament to that too. Everyone is super friendly and easy to get on with.
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship experience - not only did I gain a whole host of new skills from the work itself, I was also able to widen my network of connections and make meaningful relationships.
