    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I was responsible for implementing process improvements within the team with the view of improving efficiencies and improving the customer experience. I was involved in a number of different projects and also supported the team transactionally. A typical day for me would involve checking my emails, attending project meetings, coordinating project meetings, completing action points etc. I was involved in a number of different ERG groups and opportunities outside of my job description which kept my days busy.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • I have improved and learned so many skills throughout my placement year at Johnson and Johnson; presenting skills, project management skills, networking skills, forming professional connections to name a few. I have also learned skills in marketing, HR and other areas that I found interesting during my placement. I had no prior knowledge of these areas before my placement but I was given numerous opportunities to develop outside of my department.

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Johnson and Johnson as a whole has a very inclusive company culture and the general atmosphere in the office is always very positive. As the Customer Services team is very large and spans across both sites, we often had drop in sessions via team to get to know each other. As the team is quite large there is always someone on hand to grab a coffee with or ask for help from!
