  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I work alongside designers to build applications for clients and for internal use. I use programming languages such HTML, CSS, JavaScript and frameworks such as Vue.js and React.js. I also get to work with IBM cloud to host these applications. Normally I will work with another developer, pair programming where one of us will be coding and the other person watches and helps out when we get a bug.

  • Prior to joining IBM I hardly had any web development skills. Once joining, I have learnt to use HTMl, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Vue.js and I have also learnt about Red Hat and Data science. In addition to this, I have gained an insight into design thinking and how to run these workshops.
