    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Working in store ranges from bakery, to non-food set up and managing the shift. Then in the warehouse you get the opportunity to experience picking and shadowing a assistant team manager on a shift. Within HR, you sift through applications and carry out telephone interviews. Finally in puppy chain you work with all different teams in controlling orders and ordering.

  • The support and guidance is huge. Not only do you get support from the teams and everyone around you, the training consultant meets with you monthly to discuss development.

  • Everyone is warm, welcoming and friendly. The approachable and fun atmosphere enhances job satisfaction.

  • I would thoroughly recommend Lidl as a placement, not only do you get to see a deeper insight into one of the biggest retailers in the UK, you also get to grow and develop your own skills which are highly transferable academically, professionally and personally.
