    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • I was based within the Manchester property management team. Specifically within the Leisure team. I was lucky enough to go on many site visits and see first hand the leisure schemes that I was analysing at the office. I was able to sit in on client meetings and even had the opportunity to contribute in meetings. I also undertook excel based tasks from organising tenant trade data to checking EPC grading.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes absolutely. I had to complete time sensitive tasks and was able to develop my time management skills as I completed client reports quickly and efficiently. I had the opportunity to sit in and contribute to in-person client meetings - this developed my ability to present information confidently in a clear and concise manner. Many tasks involved Excel which I had previously limited experience with - I am now far more confident and proficient on this platform.

    Business Insight

  • 3. What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
  • I received overviews into all aspects of the business. Presentations were put on which were clear and useful as well as the opportunity to ask any questions. There was also the opportunity to network with graduates and directors. However, I learnt the most by asking the people that I was working with on a daily basis any questions that I had - they were more than happy to answer them.

  • The culture and atmosphere was great. Despite the office being quieter than usual due to COVID-19 and many people flexi working from home. There was a unanimous sense of drive within the office which was infectious.
