    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was responsible as well as accountable for various tasks and projects. I worked alongside a graduate and associate, at times independently, and at times with members of the leadership team. By being given the responsibility to lead on projects I was also responsible for the decision making, however, I still felt well supported and encouraged throughout the learning process. I felt that being given responsibility is what helped me develop and grow.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • Taking ownership of your own learning is very important in a professional company. When you take the initiative to reach out to people they are always there to support you. I felt that showing curiosity and interest in other people's work is what allowed me to learn more from them, and helped me to build meaningful relationships with those who could support me. I was given guidance when necessary and independence where there was opportunity to learn as I went along.

  • The company culture was one that encouraged diversity of background and thought. Joining a team with a fresh set of eyes was seen as having the same value as someone in the team with years of experience. There is a horizontal organizational structure and, what feels like, an open door policy. The general atmosphere is a strong network of passionate individuals who are all aligned to a common goal.
