Overview
I did training for a week and a half and then I worked on projects for the rest of the 6 weeks. The daily work I did was lots of making graphs on excel and formatting papers
Skills
I'm improved my excel skills and I learnt alteryx. I also developed my knowledge of the acturial services.
Responsibilities
I worked on live projects, some internal and some with actual clients. So there was quite a bit of responsibility as your work was actually used, but of course it was thoroughly checked.
Support & Guidance
When we arrived we got given a buddy who started as a graduate in the September before who would answer any questions you had. Also, we got a career coach to help through the process. So we got lots of support.
Culture
Everyone was very friendly and happy to help with any questions you had. Also, there was a few socials when I was there which gave a great atmosphere.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed it and learnt a lot through it
Yes
Do a lot of research for the interview process as they like to hear you know specifics about the company and about actuaries in their company. Also, if you get a place just ask loads of questions as everyone is happy to answer.
