Overview
As an intern, I was given the opportunity to rotate across 2 divisions within the consulting line of service. I was given a range of tasks to complete on a daily basis and was given the opportunity to immerse myself in a project team setting.
Skills
I have developed my existing soft/hard skills and competencies. Through participating in project work, I have honed my Microsoft suite skills by creating and editing client deliverables, whereas my soft skills such as networking and presenting has been put into practicing through the various coffee chats that I was able to set up with people from across divisions.
Responsibilities
I was given a significant amount of responsibility at times especially with the creation of client deliverables. However, there were short periods of time of which tasks that were given to me were less meaningful.
Support & Guidance
I received high levels of support during my internship, as I had an extensive network of support that ranged from an Associate-level buddy to Directors within my project team.
Culture
The company culture was great as everyone was always open to conversation. I was able to engage and immerse myself into both project teams on a social/more informal level, which allowed for strong rapports to be built. Overall, a friendly, open and welcoming atmosphere.
Your Impressions
Enjoyed to a large extent, great opportunity to get hands on experience in Big4 management consulting.
