Completing administrative tasks for the account managers and account managers support team whilst simultaneously heading up and completing my own designated branch projects to add value to the branch. Some weeks contain specific learning aspects with sessions on specific sectors within the bank.
Gained knowledge of private, corporate and individual banking sectors. Honed my data analysis and interpretation skills in order to produce better more informed reports based on the data. Improved my professional network through various calls and outreaches.
I was solely responsible for the progress of my branch projects which I was able to add value amount to 5 figure sums to my branches profits and cut significant costs. Guidance and help was provided where needed but the majority of this work was completed independently through my vision and direction
Support was provided wherever needed and asked for despite colleagues being very busy and the mentors provided were very reachable and contactable for any further questions or insight
The company culture is very friendly and welcoming but more than anything they prioritize empowerment and responsibility letting you make your own decisions and being responsible for your own actions
I enjoyed my placement very much and gained lots of valuable experience from my time there, the placement is very much on you to make the most of it and if you need to be guided constantly then it might not be for you but if you're willing to go out yourself and go above and beyond then you will get a lot out of it
