Overview
Financial analysis of the profit and loss from the trading desk as well as producing business trending and metrics for senior management and trading heads.
Skills
Developed new knowledge on the financial markets and instruments traded. I have also build my Excel and coding skillls.
Responsibilities
I was surpirsed at the amount of responsibilty I was given during my placement. It was both challenging and rewarding to be given such responsibility and meant I had to be accountable for all of my tasks.
Support & Guidance
Due to the pandemic the majority of my placement was working from home, despite this I was given lots of support and help through-out the year. However this was definitely a harder process than it would have been normally.
Culture
Morgan Stanley has a welcoming culture, they appreciate their interns globally as the future of the company. This can be seen as many of the senior management in the company had moved up via internships or placement. They also place a high value on giving back and offer lots of volunteering opppurtunities across the year.

I have enjoyed my placement and working in the company. I am looking forward to finishing my degree and returning to the industry upon graduation.
