Meeting people in the team and across different departments; undertaking research for an associate in relation to a potential claim against a client; workshops; group project with other interns; cocktail-making socials and virtual escape rooms with trainees and fellow vacation scheme students.
How to make a good virtual impression; my commercial awareness and understanding of the type of work that RPC does; gained insight into real legal work and what lawyers do on a daily basis; learnt to network and to forge strong relationships with everyone at the firm, from secretaries and the people team to trainees and partners.
Amazing! Everyone took so much time out of their day to speak to me. People were really down-to-earth and it felt like a very happy and supportive environment.
I thought that everyone I met was interested in getting to know me. The firm really invested in us.
Show your personality. Be curious, engaged and don't be afraid to have an informal chat with interviewers or anyone else at the firm. It's not a stuffy environment and they like to know that you're a normal person who can both do excellent work and also not take themselves too seriously and can have a laugh with colleagues.
