- Managing different functional areas and teams on site - including ambient, cold-chain, exporting, and transport. - Analysis of daily performance of team against company KPI's. - Gaining experience in the usage of company software - SAP, AS400, SMS and further use of Microsoft Excel. - Member of the management and admin team for the integration, usage and development of a communications application on site (Relative Relay). - Involved in the charity committee.

There were many opportunities throughout my placement to take control of the operation and make crucial decisions. I was made to feel like a vital member of the team.
Support was mostly given by management when required; however, when management were extremely busy, this was not always an option.
There is a friendly atmosphere at Gist. You will always be greeted warmly by the team and everyone is keen to share their expertise. The working environment is not always professional but work is always completed.
I enjoyed my placement and expanded my knowledge within logistics throughout this year.
If you are willing to be flexible with working location, you show interest and drive in the company and perform well, there are lots of opportunities for promotion.
