    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Old fashioned culture, new software/ideas take huge amounts of time/money/effort to be rolled out, often becoming redundant by the time they reach the employees. Culture does not promote ambition and hard work, it is easy to get noticed for going above and beyond, however this recognition does not translate to rewards or opportunities for promotion.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • Very enjoyable learning experience. The work itself is 90% admin and uninteresting topics that others do not want/ have the time to do themselves. Learning and understanding the wider work going on within the company and the plant was very good.

  • 7. Would you recommend BMW Group to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group
  • Don't expect to find a smooth running company with all processes running to maximum efficiency. Due to its size and age there is too much to improve and not enough capacity to improve it. Make the most of every opportunity to see other parts of the business outside of your department/role.
