  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My day-to-day role varied immensely. During my time in store I would be running the shift, cashing up and ensuring all daily checks were done. My time in head office I would be visiting stores conducting audits or working for a Director on projects.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Yes I was tasked with visiting all stores by myself, and tasked with opening and closing a store and cashing up on multiple occasions. As well as being trusted with high level financial knowledge.

  • During store time there is a lot of guidance and by the time you move to head office less guidance is needed but it is there if you want it

  • Make sure it is the right placement for you, are you hardworking, willing to graft on the shop floor all hours of the day, can you maintain a hard work ethic for 12 months
