Lots of responsibility from very early on. High expectations and extremely rewarding. Treated at area managers in training (as if the year is a trial of the area manager graduate scheme itself).
Assigned a mentor where frequent updates were held and was a vey useful means of asking questions. Direct and personnel leaders offer clarity as to who should be providing which training and when. Much training is guided by the placement student as Aldi encourage you to 'drive your own training'. Very independent and requires drive and passion to succeed.
Conservative and flat organisational business structure. General atmosphere of support but and extremely fast-paced and reactive sector with a tight focus on results.
My placement has been very rewarding and equipped me with the skills to approach any new business environment.
