    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

    • Each day we received a task to complete by the end of the day, replicating real tasks that we could expect to receive as a trainee. In amongst our tasks we had overview sessions from the various departments, as well as from diversity and inclusion and responsible business. The day would end with a fun social of some sort, including an escape room and a murder mystery.

    • I have learnt a tremendous amount from this week, not just about the firm but about the wider fields of law in general. I have also learnt how to structure certain documents and was given the opportunity to use Clarilis.

    Culture

  • 4. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

    • Gateley has a very friendly, supportive environment. Everyone I spoke to was happy for me to get in touch with any questions I had despite their own busy workloads. Even partners got involved in social activities!

  • 5. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • I had a fantastic week and met so many wonderful people. The socials at the end of the day were a great way to unwind after the hard work during the day.

    • Go for it! Everyone is so friendly and supportive which allows you to ask lots of questions. The company is very people focused which is one of its greatest strengths.
