  • On a day-to-day basis, my role usually involves updating media within the company intranets, planning for engagement campaigns, writing articles for the bulletin, creating videos/infographics, running presentations and conversing with employees.

  • I have learnt a huge amount of new skills including; writing, designing images, time management, copywriting, editing, video-making, presenting, professionalism and campaign management.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I would say my level of responsibilities were handled very well. Towards the start of the placement, it was minimal and it gradually built until I'm confident to say I could be left alone and I would know everything that needs to be done.

  • I had one-to-one discussions with my manager and team twice a week, to make sure I was supported and to give me guidance on the tasks.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company culture at Atos was very nice as far as I was aware. There is constantly initiatives to support diversity, or the environment, or anything you can imagine. Everyone is very nice and open to speak to.

    Your Impressions

  • 6. To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
  • Despite interviewing for the placement prior to COVID-19, unaware that I would be working from my bedroom throughout the duration of my internship; I have had a very ideal time and made lots of connections. It would have been nice to have been able to work with other interns, but my team have been so lovely that I haven't minded.

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to Atos
  • The application process can be quite long and thorough, but they do so to ensure so many factors like is the interviewee pool diverse enough etc, so do stick through it. If I could go back and tell myself something, it would to be more confident in my ideas and speak up more.
