  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • My day to day job would vary depending on the time of the month. It may include updating CRM communications and reviewing these before deployment, working to prepare for the quarterly update process for our retailer renewal software or providing other general marketing support.

  • Due to working from home due to the pandemic for the entire year I have had to become resiliant and self motivated. My communication skills have also developed massively due to the need to work virtually as well as having to work with a number of internal and external stakeholders.

  • I was given a lot of responsibility and always felt the work I did was valued and important for the team.

  • I felt fully supported by my line managers and the rest of the team. I never felt there was anything I couldn't ask and if I ever struggled or needed reassurance my manager was always at the end if the phone ready to support.

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • As I never worked in office it was difficult to get a real feel for the company culture as I feel this is something that would have come across more in an office environment. Despite that, there was always a real effort from the comms team to keep the whole department connected through a range of virtual events which shows a good company culture.

  • If given the opportunity to work at VWFS on a placement, take as much from it as you can. The company want to help and provide as much insight as possible. It has been a great year and i would highly recommend applying to the scheme.
