    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • The internship was an intense and immerse virtual programme. On any given day, we would have talks from senior leaders all over Goldman, participate in firm-wide programming and hear from MDs who familiarised us with the nature of their work. The afternoons and evenings were then spent doing group preparation for our presentations and individual Summer Interview.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes. The high-calibre nature of the case studies allowed for a great degree of learning on the strategic considerations surrounding M&A transactions or equity raising. It was especially valuable to debrief on the case studies post-presentations with senior bankers who shared how they would have ultimately advised their client in question.
