Role Description

Conducted pre-acquisition assessments on a world-leading copper mining company by compiling an overview on the mining industry, the company’s business model and capital structure, then explored the M&A deal synergies and risks.

    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • There were many speakers from both senior and junior levels who shared their experiences with us. We learnt about different divisions and teams within the company.

  • There was a Fitch Learning course where we learnt about the basic knowledge and process of their work in the M&A, Debt/Equity Advisory and Wealth Management Divisions.

  • 4. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Everyone was very friendly and engaging, and it seemed like they were very excited to be in their positions. We could really feel the employees' passion towards their jobs when they were explaining their work to us.

  • 5. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Although it is quite a shame that it was held online, I still felt like the recruitment team has done the best they could by preparing interactive games and networking sessions for us to bond with both employees and other Spring Insight participants.
