• Proposed an M&A deal between Netflix and ITV, including relevant valuations, and presented this within a team of 6 to senior bankers. Had quite a few business seminars and networked with fellow spring interners and bankers. Had the opportunity to ask lots of questions
I have learnt new skills in debt advisory, equity advisory, financial modelling, capital markets, presenting and delivering information. Also general professional etiquette during Q&A sessions
The business seemed quite impressive to me and I was inspired to definitely apply to roles in the future. Talking with senior and junior bankers made me realise how good the Rothschild firm culture is and how this is reflected over the different sectors of the business. There was a wide variety of roles available at the firm, I feel that I can definitely find a role well tailored to me.
the company culture at Rothschild seemed great. Talking with bankers, they mentioned the highly collaborative atmosphere at the firm and the reliance on teamwork . I was very impressed with this as I felt like this would lie with my strengths.
I enjoyed the insight week thorougly. It was well balanced between serious, informative sessions and light hearted interactive sessions. We were given opportunities to interact with our peers on the cohort as well as junior and senior bankers. We were taught so much technical information which I found very interesting and insightful and I felt that the teaching methods were very good
When appplying ensure that your cv and your cover letter are up to scratch. In your cover letter include why the firm, why ib and why you. With online tests ensure that you are not distracted and that you try your best, they are generally hard so be prepared. In the interview I would recommend to be yourself and let your personality shine through.
