Overview
The two days were made up of lots of different sessions varying from leaning more about Teach First and its mission, networking with other students, teaching a short lesson and receiving feedback from a qualified teacher and looking at personal skills development.
Skills
I became so much more confident in my own abilities and also really developed on my self evaluation skills. It was also hugely beneficial to improve on my planning skills through guided lesson planning.
Business Insight
It was really exciting! We heard from recruiters as well as current ambassadors who went through the same program and it was clear that Teach First is really supportive of you and your career development as well as supportive of the schools and children we are teaching. I loved that if after the two years training course you realise that if teaching isn't for you, they will help to push you into other career paths.
Culture
Super friendly and supportive. It is also clear that everyone is really passionate in achieving the mission of making education fairer as well.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed it. It was a long two days but didn't feel like it was dragging as every session was so useful and interesting.
