Overview
We did a number of sessions that allowed us to learn more about Teach First and develop competencies. For example, we did a debate about an educational issue and we taught mini-lessons and received feedback from our peers and from a former teacher.
Skills
I developed existing skills, like self-evaluation through the mini-lesson. I also developed communication and interaction skills through doing teamwork exercises.
Business Insight
As well as learning about the training programme and the different opportunities Teach First offer, we learnt about a number of charity partners and had the opportunity to ask questions about what they do and how we can get involved.
Culture
Everyone was incredibly friendly and willing to answer questions. I think this was especially important, and noticeable, during the mini-lessons as we were receiving feedback that helped us identify where we could improve without seeming judgemental.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed the insight a lot. There were many opportunities to interact with other participants, for example through the social or through teamwork tasks, which made it enjoyable, and I also learned a lot about the company.
Yes
