Early Insight Program

Each day there would be some form of interactive case study relevant to one of the divisions at the bank after a detailed overview of the division. In addition to these interactive tasks done in breakout rooms, there were networking sessions with members of each division of the firm. At the end of the week, there was an insightful session on the recruitment cycle for summer internships.

As a result of my participation, I feel a lot more confident talking about financial concepts and the work that J.P. Morgan do. In addition to this, I am able to communicate more effectively in group situations as a result of the case study tasks and the session with Debate Mate. Finally, my ability to think analytically has improved greatly as well.

The information provided was very digestible and I definitely want to learn more through a summer internship. There are plenty of opportunities during the program to speak with analysts about the roles and programs available, and HR do a great job at explaining the various pathways available to students at J.P. Morgan.

Very welcoming! One of the first sessions was with a very senior member of the firm and she made us all feel very welcome. In addition to this, when participants indicated they were nervous about the week ahead, the leaders of the program were quick to reassure that there was nothing to worry about. J.P. Morgan clearly has a very positive working culture and all business representatives spoke in detail about the great culture.

To a very large extent; clearly a lot of time was put into the insight and this made it all the more enjoyable. I can now go on certain that this is the career for me and that J.P. Morgan is a place I know I can succeed. I also met plenty of other students looking to work in finance, and I now have a great network of peers.

I would say ensure you have made it clear what you achieved in your roles on your CV, that way the firm will be able to see the impact you have had on other projects and this will give you the best chance of succeeding in the application process. Apart from that, really take your time to look at the projects the firm is overseeing and to consider what makes JPM different.
