Insight Student Review

The morning ran from 10-11:30 and was educational learning about various different departments within the business; from calls with numerous members within in the Savills team. After a small break, we continued calls with other departments giving us an insight on what teams do and how their day is scheduled. In the afternoon we were given a group task to present on the last day about issues the property market will face in the next 5 years.

The insight week has helped me develop my presentation skills, given me an insight to the path in which I would need to take to get into the property market. In addition it has developed my networking skills and allowed me to communicate with other people in my age group who are interested in similar career paths.

It was very interesting to get an idea about a large scale property frim and all elements that are funnelled into making the business work. Furthermore, it has shown me the diversity of roles within the industry. with other 200 service lines it allowed me to understand all the potential roles that could possibly be of interest.

The culture surrounding Savills seems very inclusive as they like to get graduates involved from the very start, the diversity and inclusivity is unquestionable and have a very well structured program to make sure that everyone has a place on the Savills team. The general atmosphere was very much a work hard, play hard mentality with many extracurricular schemes and social events which the company put on for there employees.

I thoroughly enjoyed the insight and felt very welcomed.

Follow the application process and make sure you are organised and get the application in early as there is no leniency for late applications. From what we were told on the insight week gaining as much experience as possible is key.
