    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • On a day-to-day basis, you are required to manage the recruitment inbox and provide support to the Resourcing team when requested. You have the responsibility of maintaining the temp/contractor records and approving extensions when needed. Across the year, you organise the monthly Life Skills opportunities provided to the entire cohort of Undergraduates, ranging from presenting skills to excel skills. You are also responsible for the company's LinkedIn page where you will create weekly posts to showcase what is going on in the business. You are also involved in both the attraction and selection of the Apprentice and Undergraduate recruitment. This involves advertising the vacancies and inviting candidates to interview/coordinating the assessment centre.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • From speaking to a wide range of people across the business, I have developed my confidence and ability to network. I have also developed my presentation skills as I have presented to a large number of Early Careers candidates and other colleagues across the business. The additional Life Skills sessions offered to the Undergraduates has enabled me to develop my skills in Excel - which has helped me with certain aspects of my role. Working 9-5pm every day has enabled me to get into a great routine and I have seen my ability to organise and manage my time improve massively.
