    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the virtual experience and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • Everyday we had an 1-1,5 h session/s on a specific topic (welcome session, cyber security workshop, graduates panel &recruitment process, etc.) in the morning and in the afternoon and some time allocated for the tasks provided on Forage, which included working on projects related mostly to fintech, also explaining the need for technology in finance, while challenging our coding and problem-solving skills in either Java/Python and MySQL.

  • I have definitely developed my existing coding skills in Java, since I had to challenge myself to find new solutions and new code elements to solve my tasks.

    Business Insight

  • 3. What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
  • I believe this has been best understood during the insight on the recruitment process and the graduate panel sessions, where I truly got a grasp on what a daily life of an employee looks like in the company. I think this has made me have a more complete image of the roles within the firm and their actual tasks.

    Culture

  • 4. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • I liked how the company culture looked like, since everyone was really open and friendly towards each other. I also admired the diversity initiatives and the events (Tech for Social Good, Code for Good, etc.), which makes me see that the company values not only the employees, but also the youth and those who struggle (due to background/diversity issues) but really desire to have a career in the tech domain.

  • I really enjoyed the virtual experience since the tasks challenged me, while the workshops and speaker events gave me insights on different areas of the company and its tech division.
