My days vary a lot on what our clients needs are but on a day-to-day basis my main responsibilities involve fulfilling our clients requests for assets, granting permissions to our B2B site, requesting screener access, assisting my managers with any presentations or projects they might need my help with, tracking our EMEA clients air dates and keeping up with the industry.
Absolutely! My written communication skills have definitely improved a lot as I spend most of my days emailing international clients and I feel that since some days are busier than others I've had to learn how to efficiently prioritise my tasks. And I'd like to think that I'm developing my problem solving skills as my work involves dealing with international clients which can be very challenging at times.
Yes! Probably more than I initially expect as an intern. Most of the times I'm dealing with clients myself which is a great responsibility, I'm expected to keep track of important data and I'm trusted with a lot of confidential information.
A huge amount of support is given. From my very first weeks, where I had the previous intern showing me all the ropes and where there were training workshops for the interns, to the rest of the placement where I had my managers to ask any and every question, as stupid as it may sound. I was very lucky with my managers and am very appreciative of them.
Everyone in the company is very nice and supportive! In terms of social events and activities, because of COVID I haven't had the chance to go to any, except for the ones for the interns and a Christmas party, which were all online. I was, however, lucky enough to take part of a Women of Warner Career Insight Session and a Stay Up initiative, which were both amazing.
I couldn't have imagined it going any better (if we ignore COVID). I was very lucky with my team. my managers are incredible and everyone I work with has been nothing but lovely. I'm gaining a lot of insight into the industry and honestly can't imagine what it will be like to leave in a few months. Tears will be shed, that's for sure!
Yes
Everything very much depends on the role you're applying for and what your managers are looking for but my best advice is just to be yourself, research the company and the industry and show genuine interest. They want people who are passionate and motivated. Don't be afraid of not being good enough or not knowing how to do certain things, they will teach you.
