    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of the virtual experience and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
  • The first and last days were both extremely educational and insightful. We asked questions and received invaluable information from an array of graduates to more senior employees at the FCA. This ranged from interview experience and tips to life lessons, motivation and self-confidence. In the middle day we had an assessment centre for which we are going to received personal, specific feedback. Truly a unique, priceless experience run by a fantastic team.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I learnt a large number of new skills as well as developing previous skills. We worked on interview preparation, conduct and presentation, and got to ask specific questions to experts on this. We were also run through and helped with the various stages of assessment centres including written exercises and presentations. The programme importantly also included how to utilise these skills in professional contexts for the future.

    Business Insight

  • 3. What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
  • The roles of the business were very well explained at the beginning, but important questions were also well-answered when they came up. I did not know an extensive amount about the FCA before preparatory reading and now feel I have a good understanding.
