    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Communicate with markets around Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) on a daily basis to ensure our systems are updated with the correct info. Using this info to run reports and anyalse the data to better theatrical releases in the future. Team meetings to discuss current and future business. Work with marketing to look at consumer opinions on upcoming films. Lots of ad hoc tasks.

    Skills

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • Excel, communication, team-work and effective time management. Work prioritisation is key in the role and sometimes ad hoc tasks disrupt the routine, management of this is very important. Also attention to detail is an important skill that I have honed in during the placement.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • Absolutely. The team throw you in the deep end but are always there if needed for support. Right off day one you will be communicating with markets about different topics and it is your responsibility to feed up the appropriate info to the team. Additionally, when doing ad hoc tasks and making reports, the information and conclusions are used up the chain and it is totally your responsibility to ensure accurate information.

  • Please rate how meaningful the work you were doing was

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • The team is incredibly supportive. Happy to talk at literally any hour about job specific questions / queries or even much more general industry questions. I have learnt so much just from talking to colleagues. You will also have a really useful handover week period when you start the role which gives you all the tools needed to crack on with the job!

  • How would you rate the support and guidance from the wider team?

    Culture

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • Warner Bros / WarnerMedia is very hot on not being left in the past. They are constantly promoting new schemes and working really hard on promoting diversity and equality. Due to having worked through the pandemic I can't give the best judgement on the office atmosphere but previous interns have only raved about it. It is company filled with interesting and fun people.
