Role Description

I receive briefs from clients, run data and my own insights to provide answers to their questions. This involves a deck, presentations and follow-up emails.


  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • I have run monthly reports for a variety of clients around Key Performance Indicators. I receive briefs varying in size, which I compile decks & presentations to answer. I provide training to clients on the systems Kantar Worldpanel use, such as world panel online.


  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
  • Kantar Worldpanel have been pivotal in my development, hosting bi-monthly meetings to allow me to explain areas I want to improve, alongside feedback on what they believe are my areas for improvement. I have greatly improved my presentational skills, focusing on pacing, how I articulate myself, alongside body language. I have improved my analytical skills, working with data everyday. I have improved office etiquette, regularly emailing senior clients and internal team members.

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I have gained more and more responsibility as my placement has progressed. At the 6 month mark, I have now produced and presented a deck to clients. I am also sending my reports and emails without checking with my manager. Lastly I am assisting in the training of a new graduate which has joined.

    Support & Guidance

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
  • I have received amazing support and guidance. I have bi-monthly check-ins with my manager to discuss any issues I have faced alongside my development. I also have weekly check-ins with my day-to-day manager, again to offer support and guidance. Furthermore, colleagues in my team regularly reach out to see how I am doing and always make themselves available for a call if I require assistance.

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company has a inclusive and fun atmosphere. Even in these difficult coronavirus times, my team host weekly 'Friday fun' where we play online games such as Pictionary and host socials. We have a WhatsApp and Teams GC where we discuss everything but work, allowing to build deeper connections.

  • I am thoroughly enjoying my placement, learning new transferable skills and making friends for life. I am extremely happy I choose Kantar.

  • 8. What advice would you give to others applying to Kantar Worldpanel
  • If you're applying to Kantar I would advice you doing some prior research on the FMCG industry. Presenting plays a large role in the job so make sure you practise presenting, especially in areas such as pacing. Be ready to answer questions on the spot.
