  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • My confidence in myself was built so much because of the people at Mace, as well as learning a lot of technical terms and further information about certain roles which makes my career choice easier.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the virtual experience?
  • Amazing, it was clearly thought out. There were enough breaks but I also didn’t feel overly relaxed (as if I didn’t need to work hard) - so it was a good mixture.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your virtual experience?
  • Great, everyone seemed passionate and interested. I liked having our cameras on as I could see how everyone else was feeling too and made me feel less alone.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Completely invested in me, it wasn’t just about Mace it was also about the skills needed as an employee. One thing I noticed is how much they helped to boost my confidence throughout this week

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the virtual experience help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • I think the week helped me understand the roles better but to understand them on a day to day basis I think you would need to experience this in real life not virtually.

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the virtual experience help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Really well because all staff were from different backgrounds, different ages and different genders so I could see the diversity throughout Mace.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Very valuable, without Mace my choice in civil engineering wouldn’t have been reinforced as strongly
