    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I loved my placement year at The Walt Disney, and would highly recommend anyone apply! So many amazing opportunities on offer and it's such a fantastic experience

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt very valued by all of my colleagues, part of my role included brainstorming ideas and my ideas ended up being implemented at times which was an amazing feeling!

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • All of my team were incredibly supportive, especially my manager. She was amazing at explaining everything and always took the time to make sure i understand tasks etc, and any opportunity that was available she always encouraged me to go for it!

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • My role changed during my placement - The first role i had i wasn't busy at all and could work at a really nice pace. But then my other role was the opposite and it ended up getting busy a lot, however if i ever felt overwhelmed i could speak to my team and they would help out!

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • You get given a lot of responsibility from day 1 at Disney, however because they take on interns every year you should get a handover before this! And if not, you always have your team supporting you and can ask questions at any point. Getting this responsibility has really prepared me for applying to graduate jobs!

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Skills for life! It made me realise where i want to pursue my career (as my degree is different to what i did on my internship). I've developed my confidence so much, and it's really helped with final year of university too.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The general atmosphere of Disney was great and everybody is so friendly. There were always snacks around the office and Disney love to celebrate birthdays, halloween Christmas etc!

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The placement was organised really well, after you accept the position you get sent your contract to confirm the role. On your first day you have an induction too, and you also have a 'Welcome to Disney' day to understand what all of the departments do!

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Disney really invest in their employees, there is the opportunity to do personal training every quarter and also training like how to save a life, or mental health training.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    Above 25 days holiday

    Working from home

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Unfortunately Disney don't currently do graduate schemes, however if this became available i would 100% apply!

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There's around 200 interns so you'll always have other interns in your team to make friends with, and teams will try to get together when possible for social events.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London is expensive, however Disney are one of the top paying placement employees so i didn't find the cost of living too bad. However i would recommend having some savings before as you will need this for a deposit if you decide to live in London

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Nightlife in the immediate area wasn't great, however you can venture to central London where there is so much to do and so many places to go

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Endless opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work, such as VoluntEARS or events that are offered for interns to attend

    5/5
