J.P. Morgan Spring For Finance Review

The programme was very insightful. It allowed me to discover the different divisions of J.P Morgan in order to make sure that I chose the most appropriate division according to my skills and personality. Moreover, I really enjoyed getting to know the culture of the firm listening to its employees. Finally, receiving training on asset classes, financial indicators and markets equipped me with the knowledge to pursue a career in Investment Banking. In conclusion, I truly enjoyed the insight.

I felt completely valued during the time of the programme. J.P. Morgan has a great commitment to attracting talent to the firm. Therefore, the programme is tailored to the needs of its participants. I felt like I could always share my questions and doubts with any employee, and that they were there to solve them at any time. Moreover, they made great efforts ensuring that all the participants enjoyed the programme and that everyone felt included.

I did not only receive guidance and support during the insight, but also months before starting. Since the moment I was told that I had been selected for the programme, the recruitment team was open to giving me guidance on everything I needed. I received much information on how to prepare properly for the insight, and it allowed me to gain the confidence to make the most out of it. Overall, the support I received during the whole process couldn't have been better.

The skills I developed and the information I received equipped me with everything I needed to pursue further recruitment processes on Summer Analyst roles. In fact, thanks to what I learnt during the insight, I have recently been accepted to my dream job. Therefore, I am extremely grateful to J.P Morgan for organising this programme. Additionally, it has been useful in my degree studies since I acquired useful knowledge that I apply daily in my projects and subjects.

The insight was perfectly structured. The first day we had an introduction to J.P. Morgan's culture and divisions and we were welcomed by some prestigious employees. During the next days, we received training on investment banking, markets, risk and asset management. Then, we attended more sessions on the culture, philanthropy and recruitment process for the Summer Analyst roles. Finally, extra sessions on the different divisions (Investment Banking, Markets, Risk and Asset and Wealth Management) were organised, and we got to know employees from every division.

The general atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. Joining an insight might sometimes be overwhelming, but in this case, it was very easy to feel confident and integrated into the group. The different conferences with employees allowed me to see that what makes J.P. Morgan different from other financial institutions is the way teams interact. Teamwork is very important for them, as well as having a great attitude at work. They made sure that the participants felt this.

The insight was the perfect chance to get to know the company culture. In fact, this is what definitely prompted me to pursue a career in J.P. Morgan. From the different sessions we attended, I discovered that the firm truly cares for its clients and employees, as well as for the environment and society. It loved to see that J.P. Morgan is more than a financial institution, and that makes great efforts to have a positive impact.

The content was key in helping me decide on my future career path. It allowed me to see what skills were required for it, as well as how are the atmosphere and the dynamic of work. I really valued the fact that I could ask any questions to current employees at the firm. I believe J.P. Morgan makes great efforts in helping potential candidates finding their correct future career path, and this was reflected on the insight programme.

Originally, I was reimbursed for travelling and accommodation expenses. However, due to the pandemic, the insight took place online so we did not have any expenses.

Despite having the insight via online, we had many chances for networking, especially with employees of J.P. Morgan. We had numerous sessions where we could ask questions to employees from every division, and it helped me discover which division was right for me. In fact, they were really open and willing to solve all our doubts. Moreover, overall we had the chance to network with all the participants during the different moments of the programme.
