The Role
It was a fantastic experience, especially considering the difficult circumstances with covid this summer. We even had a virtual quiz night and a volunteering session!
Everybody was very approachable and encouraged us to ask any questions at all that we might have. Our input was also always highly appreciated, whether it was just a general comment/ idea during a conversation or in regard to a project that we had worked on.
They were always just a phone call away and the tasks were always clearly set out in a weekly meeting with our managers.
Due to the circumstances, it was a little hard to have the perfect balance with so many virtual coffee chats one wanted to schedule in to get to know the team better. However, overall it was a good balance of working on projects, participating in learning sessions and general networking.
This summer, it was generally a little difficult, but there were some tasks as well which we worked on that got directly sent to the clients, after a small inspection that is!
We learned a variety of things ranging from time management over teamwork to being determined to improve constantly. And the training on different asset classes and financial markets as a whole will surely help us at university as well!
The Company
NA
Very well organised, with senior speaking events, volunteering, quiz nights, training sessions and more!
We had one full week of training, so really a lot, especially considering the continuous learning throughout!
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing, I will start the three-year analyst programme myself next summer!
The Culture
We had various Whatsapp groups, met up in Geneva a few times and also had virtual drinks!
Switzerland is generally quite expensive, but the wages are also higher in light of that
Generally some nice bars and clubs around, but because of Covid there were lots of restrictions!
