It was a really great experience despite the majority of it being virtual. Everyone was very welcoming and open to helping me and answering any questions that I had. Whilst working on my projects, I felt like I was making a difference to society.
The projects I completed will be used by supervisors and will prove helpful in their work. This really helped me to feel as though I was making a difference. I also undertook internal training courses during my internship.
Everyone in my team was very welcoming and happy to answer all my questions. I really enjoyed my internship experience and it beyond exceeded my expectations.
I am currently studying an Economics degree and being able to see how my degree applied to the real world at the Bank of England will definitely prove really useful for the rest of my course.
It was very well structured and organised. We initially had induction and training sessions during the first few weeks of the internship which helped us to get to know other interns and network within the Bank. We also had a buddy system in place with a grad at the Bank which was a really great means to support us.
I really enjoyed the experience - it was a very open and welcoming atmosphere at the Bank. Everyone I met was always happy to support and guide me if I had any problems.
We had a 'buddy' scheme in place and we were all assigned a line manager to guide us with problems.
Really helped a lot as I networked with colleagues from different points in their careers which helped me to understand what it would be like to work full-time at the Bank.
Being able to go into the office a few times a week really helped me as well to understand the company culture.
Very valuable and helpful content!
Yes we got to network with all areas within the Bank.
Really great and useful to help me learn about other areas of the Bank.
