    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the virtual experience?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my virtual experience with Savills as it allowed me not only to broaden my knowledge in the different sectors but to also connect and network with those both at senior and graduate level. It was particularly interesting to see the work that is carried out on a day to day basis including completed projects in prime London locations. I really got a sense of how rewarding a career with Savills can be from how passionately each individual spoke about their work and projects.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I felt that the question time was really helpful as it allowed me to really probe into what a day to day career would be like as a graduate.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the virtual experience?
  • Guidance and support given was substantial as we were not only limited to the question time. Individuals extended their contact details so we were able to gain further insight into the different sectors even after the virtual experience. I was able to contact a few departments and really got a great sense of work-life balance especially during the current period.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • My communication and networking skills have developed to a great extent through the webinars and the virtual Insight Day. I feel I have learnt to better interact via an online platform which before I had very little experience with. The discussions from the property management team have really given me deep insight into a few assignments that I have due in November regarding leases and break clauses. Relevant discussions on the retail market logistics, the future of working from home and the transition to pay as you go workspaces was extremely informative.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the virtual experience?
  • Brilliantly structured with enough time given for each sector to introduce and welcome discussion and questions. With my preferred sectors, I wish I had a little more time to ask questions however having them extend their contact details and welcoming calls and emails was really very helpful.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your virtual experience?
  • I felt there was a general sense of excitement not just from students but also from those hosting. Each member on each team evoked such passion about their careers and projects it was absolutely inspiring.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I felt that the firm has really invested in my development and there was a genuine sense of care from them. I was updated on the change of situation consistently throughout the past few months. Although times have been turbulent they are one of the very few firms that continued on with their promised experience.

  • 8. To what extent did the virtual experience help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • With each individual going over their day to day tasks I really got a good sense of what would be expected from myself when joining Savills. It was particularly interesting to see Molly's slides as she broke down what her week is like on a day to day basis with Savills and further discussed how she manages her time and deadlines which was really helpful.
