    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the virtual experience?
  • I really enjoyed the virtual experience. I thought working from home would leave me disconnected from the team and the firm's culture, however every effort was made to make me feel included and help me learn from everyone around me.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • From a firm-wide level, I felt as though there were many people I could connect with if I ever had a problem. Working within my team, I very much felt integrated straight away and my contributions appreciated.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the virtual experience?
  • There was a high degree of guidance and support. Rothschild implemented both a buddy and mentor system. My buddy was an analyst within my team and that was incredibly beneficial as it meant I had someone who knew exactly what it was like starting in the team, and as a result could give really great advice. My mentor was more senior and in another team, which helped expand my network across the firm and provide great insight into what a long term journey working at the firm might consist of.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Communication and time-management were incredibly important throughout the internship, and even more essential given the virtual aspect. Having developed them over the internship, they helped me improve my productivity and efficiency at university.
