  1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  2. I really enjoyed my placement, the team that I worked in was very welcoming and was always willing to lend a hand if I needed it. The variety of work that I completed and help with was really great, as it meant that throughout the placement I was always kept on my toes and learnt new things.

  3. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  4. My team members we always there for me, and were willing to help me improve. When contributing or completing work they always gave me feedback and let me know when I had a done a good job, so that was excellent from my colleagues.

  5. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  6. I had regular 1-2-1s with my manager where I was able to discuss any issues that I may have faced, and were always willing to put in extra time with me and help me reach my potential.

  7. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  8. I was always busy, no two days were the same. A variety of tasks were always on my plate, and whenever I thought I was nearing a period where I would run out of work, something else would come up to keep me on my toes.

  9. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  10. From the outset I was given a lot of responsibility, I really appreciated it. It wasn't just ownership over one task, it was over a variety of different roles and tasks, from the placement projects to my daily work I was given responsibility.

  11. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  12. The skills and knowledge I gained this year will help me hugely with my academic work as I now have a base and first hand experience of topics covered in my management lectures. It has also given me an insight into the working world and given me both soft skills through interpersonal relationships, as well as improving many technical areas such as my analytical ability.

  13. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  14. The office was always cheery and a great place to work, I immediately felt at home in the office. Getting to know people form a variety of teams was easy and I have friendships that will last long after my placement has finished.

  15. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  16. The Placement Team did an excellent job of organising everything and ensuring that a support network was there for us and guided us through any difficulties. The mentor and buddy system were also excellent.

  17. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  18. I had real product ownership and knowledge which meant that I was on the path to succeeding in the office and work environment as my knowledge grew. I was encouraged to attend development sessions in a variety of topics too to expand my understanding.

  22. I would love to work for TUI again.

  23. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  24. The social scene was great for students in Luton and in the office beyond the placements everyone was very friendly and got to know people outside of the office easily through Christmas parties and trips to the pub.

  25. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  26. The cost of living was good, the salary we were paid has meant that I was able to live comfortably and have money saved for my final year and beyond for travel opportunities.

  27. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  28. The nightlife was good, especially being so close to London it meant that an event was easy to get to.

  29. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  30. There were several social clubs that could be joined, from running to baking. It was easy to get to know people and if you wanted to set up your own social activities the company would be more than happy to help set it up and get it underway!
