Role Description

Decompose key business problems to identify value areas and structure and implement complex technology solutions for the client  Create innovative and differentiated offerings, staying relevant and in sync with market demand  Deliver advisory services in support of technology enabled business change, e.g.: package & third party integrator selection, vendor selection, application studies, solution architecture studies and/or program diagnostics and recovery.  Deliver advisory services to the IT function: CIO/CTO/CDO  Grow market share by leveraging relationships, winning work, and being integral to delivery of on-shore consulting engagements  Sell on an individual basis or as a part of a team

    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my placement. I was given lots of responsibility. Although the experience was hindered through the pandemic, Accenture did a brilliant job of adapting to a new way of work and I felt supported throughout.


  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Very well valued. I felt like my opinions and ideas were valued and I was always encourage to put forward my ideas and contribute where possible. Regular feedback from colleagues which helped my self development.


  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • We had regular feedback sessions. Both informal and formal and the support and guidance allowed me to complete the work that was required of me.


  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • When I was on a project, I was very busy daily, however when moving to the bench during the pandemic I was less busy.


  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Lots of responsibility that was more than adequate for an intern.


  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I developed through this role will help me to a high degree when completing my studies and the training I received will be invaluable in supporting me in my studies and beyond.


    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Friendly people in the office all the time and everyone was very approachable.


  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Everything was very well set up, I was very impressed with those organised everything was.


  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There were plenty of courses and training I was able to enroll in. Plenty of opportunities.

  • Very appealing. Lots of opportunities to develop your career and a plethora of different industries you could work in.


    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Lots of socials. Societies for everyone and very easy to join!


  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It was in central London so costs of living was high but I could walk to work. You are paid enough to cover this. Social life in the area is amazing, lots of things to do in London!


  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Nightlife was great, lots of places and events to go to every week.


  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes, lots of sports and social to get involved in as well as events.
