    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Shame that the experience was virtual as going into the office would've been really enjoyable. I really enjoyed the programme. Very informative and not boring. We also had multiple opportunities to interact with others on the programme as well as graduates and employees at KPMG so it had a good mix of 1 on 1 conversations and talks.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I felt extremely valued the whole time. There was always opportunities for questions, and one of the classes was a mental health session which was very appreciated by everyone.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • We received a lot o support. There was always someone there we could ask any questions and they were always answered. Furthermore, on Teams there was an opportunity to message any of the leaders at all times. Finally, we had the appropriate email addresses to address any concerns or ask any questions we had.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • To a very large extent. In terms of skills, they boosted some skills I already had but in a more professional sense. For example, I exercised collaboration, listening, and creativity skills in the programme. This has assisted me in my studies and they will help me with further assessment centres and future programmes. The information has assisted me with tying together the concepts I learned in my degree with real life applications and uses in the corporate world.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The insight programme was extremely well structured. We were given individual timetables so we always knew what was going on and had links to join all the different 'rooms'. Furthermore, the activities in each day were cohesive and the day had a really good flow.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The atmosphere was extremely pleasant. Everyone was so nice and friendly and I got a really good feel for the company and its culture. The programme started with an ice breaker activity which was extremely fun and set the tone for a really fun programme.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • It was only an insight programme but to a large extent. They invested a lot of their time and resources as well as made a lot of effort to ensure that we received valuable feedback from our work and our attitude in the programme. Furthermore, they provided us with a real life interview experience .

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • A huge extent. They informed us about everything and all the different opportunities we would be exposed to if we were to stay at the company. Also, they told us about employee benefits we would receive and an insight into all the different divisions we would interact with. We had the opportunity to complete a project for a hypothetical client which was extremely helpful. This was all highlighted by speaking to employees at KPMG who told us the different things they have done and currently do on a daily basis.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • Extremely helpful. All the other undergraduates agreed that we got a very good feel for the company's culture. They embrace diversity and offer a lot of benefits which highlights how much they care about their employees happiness and mental well being.

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • It was extremely helpful. I understand what the department I would be working in entails. However, I am still open to look at other jobs and seeing what job is best suited to me.
